At One Heartt, we believe every young heart deserves care, compassion, and the tools to thrive—especially during times of challenge and change. July marks National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, and it’s a vital opportunity to shine a light on the unique mental health needs of Black, Indigenous, and Youth of Color (BIYOC).
Youth in marginalized communities often face compounded pressures from systemic inequality, generational trauma, and lack of access to culturally affirming care. This month, we're highlighting a valuable resource from the UCLA Center for the Transformation of Schools, which offers 10 carefully curated tools and organizations that support BIYOC on their mental wellness journey.
💡 These resources include:
Healing-centered engagement practices
Trauma-informed programs for schools and families
Community-centered mental health collectives
Advocacy and support tools for youth-led empowerment
Whether you are a caregiver, mentor, educator, or advocate, these tools are essential for nurturing the next generation of changemakers with intention and heart.
